April 12 Branch Meeting at Elise May Goodwin Gallery
The April AAUW branch meeting will be at the Elsie May Goodwin Gallery on Saturday, April 12 where we will enjoy interactive activities. First we’ll attempt to decode eight contemporary visual symbols that represent causes we at AAUW care about. Discuss possible meanings with those at your table. Then, the original intent will be revealed. (You may think that your ideas are even better!)
Next, we will decorate postcards. Finally, we will communicate encouraging messages to the girls in our mentor program on the postcards. AAUW members will each be given the name of a mentor girl, along with some basic information about her so that the postcard messages can be personalized. Each girl will receive at least two cards, which will be mailed to them. I’m sure that they will be pleasantly surprised to receive the postcards!
