Reading is Fundamental
Managing the RIF program at four local schools, AAUW members provide free books for TK-6 students, enticing them along the road to literacy.
Tech Trek Science Camp
Seventh-grade girls are selected to attend AAUW's Tech camp at a major regional university in the summer. Tech Trek donations fund each attendee. Girls spend a week learning and living on a college campus. The teens in this picture attended Tech Trek in 2020, graduated high school, participated in the mentor program, and were accepted to attend college in the fall.
Mentor Program
Branch mentors offer leadership, support and information about college. Mentees have participated in dozens of projects focused on college admission, cultural pursuits and fun new experiences. Mentees have attended AAUW Tech Trek camp and are the first in their family to attend college. Ninety-five percent of our mentees meet their college/university goal!

Essay Contest
To commemorate Women's History Month, high school students write about the achievements of a woman who is important to them. Winning essayists receive monetary awards at our Branch meeting.
Speech Trek

Essay Contest
High School students are invited to prepare a six-minute speech on a topic selected by AAUW California. Stockon Branch selects a winning speaker to submit their video for the statewide competition. Cash prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place.

Our Delta College Scholarships
AAUW Stockton gives scholarships every year to Delta College students who are continuing on to a four-year university.
Branch Interest Groups
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Our members find a safe place to ask questions in our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Interest Group. Led by Barbara St Urbain, the group visited the San Joaquin Pride Center this spring. Discussions continued throughout the summer with AAUW members, Delta Kappa Gamma members, and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute members.
